During the business negotiation, the price always will be one of the most important thing to both buyer and seller, it is same in protective film industry. Sometimes customer can’t understand why the same adhesion protective film have such big price difference, so hereby we will talk some factors which affect the protective film price, and when you understand those factors you will know more about the price.

1-the raw material is the most important factor relate to the price. We mostly product PE protective film ,so for PE protective film , the raw material we usually means LLDPE,LDPE,HDPE. These raw materials’ price fluctuation every day in the market, it generally will base on the Oil price, but also will relate to the market supply. For example in the summer, because of the high temperature many oil factories do equipment maintenance, so the market will less supplying of the raw material, so the price will go up. So every year, from Autumn the orders will active because of the price.

2- the peel strength affects the price a lot. We usually say adhesion data as the peel strength, the higher adhesion will cost more glue, so the price also will be higher.

3- the glue type.  If the adhesion is super low or low, then the self-adhesive film will be the best price. Water based acrylic glue will cheaper than Solvent based acrylic glue.

4- the size especial point the thickness will affect the price, because under the same production rate, the thickness will determine the capacity. For example, the capacity of thickness 0.02mm will much less than thickness 0.06mm for same production time, but the production cost include electric fees, labor cost are same. So of course the thickness 0.06mm will takes more profit.

Beside those important factors, many other small factors such as film color, printing, packing all will affect the protective film price. So only you understand those things clearly, you will know more about the price component and consider how to save your cost.
